Navy 83 Yacht
Navy 83 yacht originally built for the United States Navy as 83-foot cutters served during World War II and after the war ended. They were designed for off-shore ASW patrol boats. The present owner converted the boat into a luxury yacht in 2007 with new engines and machinery, electronics, etc. Must definitely be seen to be appreciated, their fit took place at Istanbul’s famous Tuzla shipyard where no expense was spared.
She was built from cedar wood which is one of the most durable and stable wood on earth and it is the best material for wooden yacht construction. The form motor yacht was used for many years as a work boat and was under the service of the US Navy.
She will take you on a historical voyage and you’ll feel you’re cruising on a military vessel. As an 83 feet displacement motor yacht, you’ll enjoy the large living areas such as a large saloon, aft deck, and super large flybridge. You can enjoy your cruise with your friends and your family on the large flybridge even with a crowd. A bar is located on the flybridge and you can enjoy your drinks while you’re relying under the sun or playing backgammon or talking to your friends. Its flybridge is one of the biggest advantages and the reason why you should count on her for your precious holiday.
The crew has totally separate living and sleeping areas, so you’ll definitely not be disturbed, and feel free to enjoy your time on the boat.
She is able to sleep up to 6 guests in 3 cabins including 2 Master cabins and one guest cabin. Master cabins are located with king-size bed, mini bars, desk,s and TV. The guest cabin has two single beds, a mini bar, desk, and TV. All cabins include en-suite shower, toilet.
Navy 83 is powered by 2 x 661 HP main engines.
She has an epoxy laminated Mahogany hull which is 7 cm thick with
3 cm male / female ( convex and concav ) first planking
3 x 1 cm epoxy laminated mahogany strips with copper or plastic U shape nails
2 layers of thick wowen GRP ( fiber glass coating ) with two components epoxy glue
1 cm thick steel putty / filler
above this primer coating and then final glossy paint as finishing …
Thus she is like a *GRP* *boat*, no need maintanence like a wooden boat ,
just pressure wash and apply antifouling every two years and thats it …
She has been dry-docked for 2 years
Current things to be done as follow.
Batteries need to be changed. (16 x 200 Ah)
